BCOF Duties and Social Activities
Title
BCOF Duties and Social Activities
Subject
The British Commonwealth Occupation Force in the Occupation of Japan
Description
During his time in Japan, Entwistle visually recorded the duties and social lives of himself and his fellow officers. This collection includes imagery of both work and play, such as rifle training, marches, sight-seeing, and sports.
The soldiers in these photographs are unknown. However, this does not mean the stories of their time in the BCOF should go unheard. If you recognise any of the soldiers in these images, please contact the Entwistle Collection's curator, Chloe Traynor, to help put the names to faces.
